HRR has worked with the owners of RedCabooseGetaway.com to transport five Burlington Northern Cabooses from Bellingham, WA and one modified Great Northern Kitchen Car from Seattle, WA to Sequim, WA. These cabooses will be used as individual cabins for a unique style of Bed and Breakfast just outside the Washington peninsula town of Sequim, WA.

HRR employed the services of Smokey Point Distributing to haul the five cabooses and Chad Wilson Crane Services to offload the cabooses onto the short track systems installed by HRR. Each caboose weights approximately 45,000 lbs. including the truck sets. Each truck set was removed from the cabooses and shipped separately. Once each caboose was placed back on its truck sets, the wheels were welded to the track for security purposes. One of the cabooses will be ADA accessible and is placed next to the Kitchen Car which will be modified to act as the B&B’s kitchen and dining room. Both these cars will be placed next to a train depot style building, which is to be constructed over the next year.
