Historic Railway Restoration (HRR), formerly Northwest Rail Services, Inc., has been in business of bringing history back to life for over eight years. Our desire is to help people better understand the past by bringing the streetcar and other historic rail and transportation equipment in to operation again.

HRR is a corporation, which was founded by Tom and Vince Mendenhall. Tom Mendenhall has spent over twenty-five years in the streetcar and locomotive industry, volunteering his time at various museums, working as a transportation subcontractor, and finally starting his own streetcar restoration business. Vince Mendenhall is resposible for customer relations and new project research. Vince has spent the last fifteen years assisting Tom in various projects and is an integral part of the business development.

HRR has developed a working relationship with the Carpenters Union Local 131 of Seattle, WA. This highly skilled labor force has offered HRR a variety of mechanical and carpentry skills that is unmatched throughout the country. The HRR team strives to provide quality services in the streetcar and transportation industry with the highest integrity.
