DETROIT
CAR #247 PROJECT

Car #247 was built by the J.G. Brill Company in 1901 for service in Lisbon, Portugal. It was brought to Detroit in the mid-1970's to service the city's down-town core and Convention center. This car had a complete overhaul including the body, truck assembly, controllers, air compressor, new wiring, and various smaller components.

Car #247 has been modified to be ADA wheel chair accessible while keeping its historical appearance.
